Daijiro Izumida promises to get the victory he missed to take at the end of Heisei Era

Daijiro enabled himself to get in the good position for the win again this week. He was close to the victory at the Token, the last tournament of Heisei Era, but couldn't achieve it. Now at the first tournament of the Reiwa Era, he is not going to miss it again.

At Wago, one of the toughest courses on Japan Tour, Daijiro is getting close for his second victory.
"Today, my shots, short games and putts were all great. I was able to play with no worries."

2 years ago he has joined "Team Komei", and he was in the same final group with the team leader Komei Oda on the final round. He was eager to do his best alongside with his leader, but unfortunate OB at 2nd hole blew it all away.
"Komei said I didn't have enough fighting spirit."

Komei managed to finish at solo 3rd, but Daijiro plunged to tie to 18th.

"It was too much pressure and I couldn't concentrate. But I knew that experience will pay off someday. Komei told me experience is necessary, so I really want to revenge this week."

Daijiro got himself the chance to get back that victory he lost at the endof Heisei Era.
"If I can win this week, I know I will get a great boost. So, I want to refresh my thoughts and challenge for the win with all of my power."
