Peter Karmis jumps up on the Top of the leader board on moving Saturday

Peter Karmis might be using his beginner's luck at this Wago. His first appearance here but playing like he knows this course in and out. Ended his 3rd Round with a birdie on final 18 and became the leader going on to Final Sunday. With 6 birdies and a bogey, scored 65, totals to 9 under and has a 1 shot lead.

"To have a great golf on the tough course like this is so exciting!" recalls Peter.
As he stated, he found great spots on the narrow fairways and he used his 4 wedges to dart on the small and firm fast greens with a spin control.

"I think Wago is a challenging course, but if you can keep it on the fairways, you will get rewarded. And the rewards are very satisfying. This is fun."

Originally from South Africa but changed his nationality to Greece in order to become as a representative for the World Cup Golf. He gained the tour card with 7th finish at the Final QT last year and has became the first ever "Greek" player to join Japan Tour. So, this is his second tournament to enter.
"I haven't gotten used to living here yet, but people here are so kind, food is great. I had Sushi yesterday."

Peter has turned Pro in 2003, has been on the South Africa's Sunshine Tour and won 6 times already. He also has Asian Tour win under his belt, so he knows how to win a tournament.
"To win, you must keep yourself in the contention. If I can make some lead on last few holes, I can make it."

Would Peter be able to win on his first year?
Would "Greek" player be the first winner of Reiwa Era?
