The Crowns 2019

Peter Karmis from "Greece" joins the Top group on the leaderboard

Peter Karmis made a magnificent 15-meter birdie putt on the final hole 18 and put himself up on top of the leaderboard along with Katsumasa Miyamoto and Akio Sadakata.

Peter finished 7th on the Final QT last December and has joined Japan Tour for the first time this season. He is originally from South Africa, but changed to Greece, which his father had the citizenship, because he wanted to be representative for the World Cup Golf.
He also has Tour Cards on Asian Tour and other 2 tours and aims to be in 30 tournaments this year around the world.
He has debuted in the Japan Tour at Token Homemate Cup 2 weeks ago.

Wago is well known as one of the toughest courses, but Peter says, "The course conditions is wonderful. You can't find any ball marks on the green" and enjoyed his play to score 5 birdies.

"I feel very honored to be able to play in Japan Tour. I am also overwhelmed to see some of the spectators follow me. I am very thankful. I am really enjoying my first challenge at Wago."
