Ryo recovers from the injury, just in time for the first event in Reiwa Era

Ryo missed the last event for Heisei Era, but was able to make it to the first one in Reiwa Era.
This week's tournament, The Crowns marks its 60th anniversary, and Ryo will make his domestic debut for this season.

Ryo will group up with legendary Jumbo Ozaki, who holds 94 wins in Japan Tour, and with the amateur Takumi Kanaya who made the cut at this year's Masters.
"I am looking forward for the round with Jumbo. I want to know how he will see me at my situation right now. He is warm person, so really glad to have the chance with him. As for Takumi, he is one of the next generation golfers, so I am curious to see how he would tackle this course."

When Japan's era has changed from Heisei to Reiwa. On the last day of Heisei, Ryo, the Player's Chairman was at Wago practicing continuously.

In February, Ryo was invited to the 30 years anniversary Tea Ceremony by the Emperor Akihito and was very surprised that Emperor knew that Ryo was Player's Chairman.

Emperor's warm cheering words encouraged Ryo to do better on his second year as the Player's Chairman, but he couldn't make a good start at the opening event, had to withdraw the event due to the back injury. After a medical checkup, he was diagnosed with Spondylolysis and slight hernia.

Ryo took full 2 weeks of rest and treatment and got back just in time for this celebrational 60th anniversary The Crowns. Ryo couldn't lift the clubs until last weekend. Then on the 29th, he came to Wago to play for 9 holes, and has decided to make the entry this week.

Ryo took special care of his back and kept it to only driving range and putting green practice on Tuesday.

Ryo was born in 3rd year of Heisi (1999). And at the age of 15 in 19th year of Heisei (2007), he has won as the youngest amateur player in Japan Tour. In 21st year of Heisei (2009), he has become the youngest Order of Merit Titleholder. Then 22nd year of Heisei (2010), Ryo has marked "58" at the final round of The Crowns, and made a great come from behind win, and also placed his name on the Guinness World Records.

Ryo zoomed up to the glorious stardom and has marked so many legendary moments in Heisei Era. His goal is set, "I want to be the Number 1 in Japan Tour this year."
To achieve his goal, the title of the Order of Merit, he promises himself to break the records he made in Heisei Era and go beyond in Reiwa era.
