Rising star of Korea Seong-Hyeon Kim took away the Japan PGA Championship title

Korea's rising star, Seong-Hyeon Kim successfully achieved come from behind victory to become the 88th Japan PGA Championship winner. This is his 1st Japan Tour victory for a 22 years old, who just started his challenge on the Tour since 2019.

It was 3-way tie until the final 18 th. But co-leader Yuki Inamori missed the green and suffered a bogey. Another co-leader Yuta Ikeda had almost same birdie chance as Seong-Hyeon Kim but failed to make it.

Seong-Hyeon Kim was overwhelmed by the success he pulled on a Major stage.
"This will surely be a big turning point on my professional career. I want to send my appreciation to all who have supported me."

Although his face was covered my mask, his big smile was very noticeable when he received the winner's trophy from PGA Chairman Massy Kuramoto.
