Japan PGA Championship 2021

Ryosuke Kinoshita strengthens his motivation once again to make 3 victories in a row possible

Toru Taniguchi made a hole-in-one on the Pro-Am games today and spoke out loud that "I will win this week and count up my victory at Japan PGA Championship to 4th time".

Toru was pretty confident about this because, in 1st week of June, Ryosuke won, then on 2nd week Toru won on the Senior Tour, and last week it was Ryosuke again. So, Toru believes this week will be his turn.

Toru and Ryosuke are both from Nara Prefecture and they have been mentor and apprentice relationship for long time. From this pattern that Toru say, this week could be Toru's turn, but Ryosuke said, "this will be my week again".

"Toru told me that really strong player should not miss the cut next week after winning a tournament and I must keep my momentum going. I took his advice seriously and told myself I shouldn't be satisfied with 2 continuous wins. I will go for the 3rd."

If Ryosuke comes through and win 3 tournaments continuously beginning with his career first, that will be the first ever record on JGTO's history. He will also be taking 2 Japan's majors under his belt.
"It is Major tournament this week, and my golf is in good condition, so I want to aim for the victory."

Ryosuke played 9 holes each on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then on Pro-Am, he played the whole 18 holes and said, "I have completed checking the course".

This is Ryosuke's first time to play on the Nikko CC, but his practice on fade ball with his coach seems to suite the course well.
"I think I could reach every Par 5s in two. So, it is up to me to make it work and produce chances."

Next month, The Open is scheduled for Ryosuke's to challenge, and he will also be making appearance at WGC FedEx St, Jude Invitational.
