"Must not take anything for granted" Tomoyasu Sugiyama sends his wishes with 4 under performance

It was pouring rain in the morning, but Tomoyasu Sugiyama played awesome.
"I would say today's performance was perfect."

Tomoyasu always carries as many gloves as possible, each for every hole.
"Especially on the rainy round, you need to change the glove on every hole."

His effort on changing the gloves worked, and every tee shot found the fairway and his shots to the green was all on the target today.
"I was able to make difficult par saving putts too."

Tomoyasu finished his R1 at Nikko CC with 5 birdies and 1 bogey for 67. Stands in 7T group with 4 under.
"I want to concentrate on each shots tomorrow too."

His physical trainer's family was hospitalized with serious illness.
"I was taking many things for granted. But when someone close to you is suffering, I realized how much I was blessed. I should not take anything for granted. I am playing professional golf, but I should be more thankful for being able to do so. I must appreciate for being able to play, and this week I want to play for my trainer and send best wishes for his loved one to get better soon."
