Dunlop SRIXON Fukushima Open 2021

3 shot margin onto Sunday but leader Ryuko Tokimatsu will play aggressive for the victory

Ryuko Tokimatsu's bogey free performance was stopped by regrettable double bogey. Ryuko was playing superb and at one moment he was 7 under for the day and had 5 strokes lead against the field. But on 16th, where he reached as 22 under par, his tee shot ended up in the right-side OB zone.
"I am a fade hitter, so I want to hit toward left, but trees influenced my shot, and it went way right. Wind was also coming from left side, so I chose to hit it that way. I felt really depressed when I found out it was OB."

Ryuko is known to have a porker face, but at this moment his face expression did change. He wanted to bounce back to regain this failure, but he had only 2 more holes to play.
"Final 18th is 549 yards Par 5, but with my distance it is barely reachable. I need to make 250 yards on my 2nd shot, and if I could reach it, I am lucky. I must practice more to be able to make these shots, but today, I ended up getting caught in left side guard bunker."

Ryuko couldn't get it close enough to the pin and had to settle with par. Ryuichi holed out with 20 under Par, on the other hand, Ryuichi Oiwa made birdie to close into 3 shots behind.
"I felt ashamed of my closing holes. I have the images of the top players' performance at the US Open engraved in my mind, and I want to be able to perform as they did. I will play each and every shot with much concentration tomorrow, so I could be satisfied with my game."
