1st Round play of Day 1 at Fujizakura CC had to be suspended due to thick fog at 16:57 local time.
It was decided that the fog will not clear out until the sunset, so the 52 players of the afternoon tee time groups were not able to hole out.

Last week's winner Scott Vincent was able to finish his round and stands as provisional leader with 4 under. 2010 winner Ryo Ishikawa has also finished his round and stands at 15T with 2 under.
