The Crowns 2021

40 years old Hiroshi Iwata made excellent Sunday charge to grab his 3rd Tour victory

61st The Crowns champion title was given to Hiroshi Iwata by a great come from behind win.

Hiroshi started out 2 shot behind the co-leaders at 7T position. He made remarkable score of 63 with bogey free 7 birdies to scoop away the victory which he waited 6 years to make it happen.
Now he has 3 Tour victories under his belt just after turning 40 years old.
"I want to be able to win more from my 40s as so many of the great players has done. I would try to win as much as possible and bring smiles to my fans", concluded Hiroshi on his victory interview.

Co-leaders who were in 5-way tie going on to Sunday couldn't come through. The closest was Katsumasa Miyamoto at 2nd, with 3 shots deficit. On 3T are Jinichiro Kozuma and Tadahiro Takayama. Takayama is on the bubble with his special credit guarantee, which requires him to make 5,000,000-yen in remaining 3 tournaments in order to get over the 2018 season prize money seed borderline. But Tadahiro became a bit short on the prize money as he wasn't able to birdie on the last hole.

As Day 1 was washed away and the tournament was reduced to 54-holes, prize money to be added on to the Money Rankings will be 75%, but tournament sponsor has kindly offered to give full amount to the players.
