Lefty University student Akira Kasahara became the "Lowest Amateur" at The Corwns 2021

Akira Kasahara, who is still Sophomore at Chubu University became the Lowest Amateur of The Crowns 2021 with total 3 under par 15T finish.

Akira has won at the Chubu Amateur Professional Championship to earn his ticket to this week's The Crowns. He accomplished to make the cut on his 2nd challenge at the professional tournament and even greater with a honorable Lowest Amateur title.

He started out at 3 under 13T on the Final Round, pledged to his younger brother who carried the bag for him, "to challenge for top 10 finish".
"I started out feeling to make charge, but I was nervous than I thought. So, I kind of got defeated by my nervousness from the start."

His performance for the Final Round was 3 birdies and 3 bogeys.
"I want to learn how to control my nervousness and perform well under that mental stage."

He really wishes to become a part of Tour professionals as soon as he could.
"I saw great technics by the Pros where they get it up and down from the guard bunkers and made clutch putts for saving par. I was amazed to see them make no mistakes where it counts."

Akira himself did show off his potentials as he made eye opening shot on 449 yards 3rd hole, as he made his 2nd from 155 yards out dead to 1-meter of the pin with his 8I to take away an easy birdie. For a 165cm tall lefty, it was a great effort shown to make him stand out.
"I did get some confidence that I am pretty okay on my shots, that it has reached professional tournament standards."

He has surely succeeded in making golf fans recognize his talents.
