Gate Way To The Open Mizuno Open 2021

"Big brother" Honoo Oshima makes great start on his debut supported by 3 young brothers

3 younger brothers all support in various ways to make their big brother Honoo's debut as a Pro successful on the Tour. Honoo Oshima, made a good start with 68, 4 under on his R1 at Mizuno Open today. He did make appearance on this tournament as an amateur back in 2014, and 4 more other professional tournaments, but this was his debut game to be in the field as a Pro.
"I have been away from professional tournament for so long. I was really nervous today."

But he did make an outstanding performance on Par 4 10th, as his 2nd shot from 120 yards made a smooth back spin into the cup for chip-in eagle.
"That felt really good."

Honoo is supported by 3 younger brothers this week, as second eldest, Inochi is on his bag. The youngest, Minato was cheering from outside the rope.
"Minato has really great accuracy. He is younger brother, but I admire him", said Honoo.

Minato is wishing to become a Pro, same as the third eldest brother Takara, who are both still in high school training hard to become professional golfer in the near future.

Right after big brother Honoo holed out, Minato rushed to follow Ryo Ishikawa's group. These 4 Oshima brothers are very promising for the golf world.

Honoo says, the Oshima brothers role model will be Ai, Yusaku and Kiyoshi Miyazato's.
"We the Oshima brothers would like to have good rivalry and motivate each other to brush up like the Miyasato's."
