Yuwa Kosaihira, a 6th year professional, managed to score 67 to stay 5 shots behind the leader to hang into the contention.

By the time Yuwa came to the 18th, the wind was picking up strongly. But he wisely used the wind to his advantage and reached the Par 5 on 2nd shot from 218 yards, 2 putted for birdies finish. He totaled to 8 under, at 5T.
"I really want to go to The Open."

Yuwa was challenging on the US PGA's Korn Ferry Tour but failed by missing the cut 13 times out of 19 tries.
"I knew that I was way behind in distance, but over there even the long hitters have great short games and putting. I didn't have that ability."

Yuwa admitted his defeat and made a courageous retreat. He came back this spring and chose to focus on Japan Tour with 19th rank privileges from QT rankings.
"I have gained great experience abroad. Last year at tournament in Bahamas I was hitting 110yards with 5 Iron and driving 1Wt to 400 yards. Compared to the howling wind overseas, today's wind feels like a breeze."

In 2018, Yuwa challenged PGA China Tour, and motivated 22 years old is seeking for more.
"I want to go challenge on the European Tour too. I really want to win this year. I am also aiming to achieve the ticket to The Open too."
