"The man of integrity" Tomoyasu Sugiyama in good position to push himself to another level

6th year professional, Tomoyasu Sugiyama, who is known as the man with great integrity, finished 1R 1 shot behind the leader.

This is his second challenge at this tournament. The first one was in 2018, as he worked his way up from Monday qualify. In 2018, he played in the Final group on Sunday and finished 16T.
"For a draw hitter like me, this course suite well. I like this course a lot."

Tomoyasu always stands straight and bows deeply. He speaks with very polite words and shows much integrity in all of his manners.
"I am very grateful all those made this possible. We, the players appreciate the efforts made by many to make us able to play on a tournament in such a pandemic conditions. I will continue to concentrate in each and every shot to perform well tomorrow."

He is associated with Lake Wood GC, and there he works not only as club professional but as also as staff. So, he knows the hardship of golf course staffs go through.
"The course condition today was unbelievably great nevertheless of the heavy rain we had yesterday. Green keepers have done a magnificent job."

Tomoyasu has won his first professional victory last month at Japan Players Championship Challenge.
"I gained confidence, so I want to challenge to the next level this summer."

Tomoyasu closed his interview words very politely, but with a bit of aggressiveness.
