"Want to go home but couldn't."
To fight off his homesick feelings, Scott Strange concentrates on his game and succeed to make a great start by scoring 66 on 1R.

"At the beginning, I was indecisive, but as the wind got steadier, I was able to play well today."

Scott rejoined the Japan Tour from Japan Players Championship by Sato Shokuhin in May. But he had to go through much trouble to acquire VISA and other necessary documents for re-entry.

"It was really difficult to come back here. And I finally was able to come back to Japan, but now I can't go back home. If I go back, I have to go through the quarantine period there, then when I come to Japan, another quarantine period. So, only decision is not to go home."

So, Scott chose to stay in Japan for the 6 weeks summer break. Scott hasn't been able to visit his family since April 17th.
"I talk to them through internet, but to actually being with them is so much different. I am homesick."

But there is a big "boss" helping Scoot side by side. This week, Ian MacKenzie the owner of the resort lodge Niseko Wow is carrying Scott's bag. They met at private golf tournament and has been friends for past decade.
"I was able to spend the summer break at his resort, practicing and training. He made me feel at home too. We came to the course last week, and as long as I listen to Ian, everything will be okay. He is the boss on the course."

The best way to show his gratitude will be winning this week.
Scott replied "Wow, but I am just following boss's orders, so it is up to my boss".
Then Ian answered in very fluent Japanese, "I hope so", and made a friendly grin.
