Kunihiro Kamii was keeping his good game going on his 2nd Round, but on his back nine, he started to stumble. He made 2 straight bogeys from 11th. The knee injury which cost him to withdraw from the Japan PGA last month has healed, but he feels his knee wobble sometimes.

"Maybe it's because I am trying to take off some weight on mt knees, now my back is so stiff."
Then suddenly his caddy started to give Kunihiro a massage with his thumb to ease the pain.

Right after that miraculous treatment, Kunihiro made birdies on 16 and 18 to get back on the game. He finished as co-leader with total of 11 under and moving onto the weekends. Now he has a great chance for making his first Tour victory come true, which he has been wanting for 16 years.
"My caddy has golden thumb. It is almost like a miracle. I can't thank him enough."

After the round, he received a text from one of the member player from the Miyoshi CC, where Kunihiro also belongs to. Kunihiro offers to teach this member player on off days. The text said that this member, Hayato Fukuoka has won the Chubu District Mid-Amateur Championship, and received an invitation to Vantelin Tokai Classic which will be held from Sept 30 to October 3 at Miyoshi CC. Text ended with a comment, "Sorry that I won before you did".

This really motivated Kunihiro.
"Now, I must win to maintain my pride."
