24 of very colorfully talented amateurs gathered at Kansai Open Golf Championship 2021

Tsubasa Ukita: a descendant of Council of Five Elders in Toyotomi's government
The oldest Open Golf Tournament in Japan, Kansai Open Golf Championship gathered 24 amateurs this year and all have every unique and colorful talents.

As it is becoming a trend, so many amateurs are making great performance on professional tournament, such as Keita Nakajima becoming runner-up finish, just 1 shot behind the winner.

This week, Tsubasa Ukita a sophomore at Osaka Gakuin University made 5 birdie and a bogey play to become 3T just 1 shot behind the co-leaders.
"I want to win at the professional tournaments", says Tsubasa with no hesitation.

His ancestry blood is related to powerful warlord of Azuchi-Momoyama period in Okayama Prefecture, Hideie Ukita.
"My relatives researched the family history and found out that my ancestor was one of Council of Five Elders in Toyotomi's government."

Another outstanding amateur is Masayuki Yamashita, a year younger brother of Miyuu Yamashita, a JLPGA Tour player who has made her first victory last week. This is Masayuki's first challenge on the professional tournament. On his starting hole, Par 5 1st, he had 5-meter for an eagle try.
"My hands were shaking and had to satisfy with a birdie", said Masayuki, but he managed to score 2 under for his First Round.

"I played along Chan Kim, and I was 50 yards behind so many times", smiled Masayuki. He says he is very motivated by his sister's victory.
"I believe she is doing well this week too, so I will try to do my best."
