Anthony Quayle marks R2 best score 67 by "keeping dry" under drenched rain condition

Anthony Quayle scored 4 under 67 in unbelievably bad weather condition of heavy rain and stormy winds. Anthony says the key to play well in such a nasty weather is to "keep dry" and make low trajectory shots which could avoid wind influence as much as possible.

"Important factor is to wipe clubs and balls dry constantly. No matter how wet your body may become, clubs and ball must be kept dried to avoid mistakes on tough weather conditions."

Anthony was able to make magnificent birdie on toughest hole of the day 17th, as his 2nd shot from 166 yards by 7I flew over the pond and stuck to 4-meter to the flag.
"I am glad that I was able to play very steady and build up birdies under tough condition today."

Anthony started to play golf at age of 7. He made a mini golf course in backyard and practiced. He entered golf school at 14 and turned Pro in 2017 after gaining 2nd place on Australian Amateur. He joined Japan Tour from 2018, and for the prolonged 20-21 season he came back to Japan from Kansai Open in May. This is his 7th tournament of this season. He is scheduled to go back to his home country after this Major and will be skipping Dunlop SRIXON Fukushima Open and Japan PGA Championship.
"My family is waiting so I must go away for a while. I hope to win this week and bring back great news."
