Yuki Furukawa aiming to achieve both the "Major Title" and "Hole-in-One Prize"

This is Yuki Furukawa's 5th tournament as a professional and he has a great chance to win his first career victory at Major tournament. Yuki will be in final group on Sunday, a nerve wrecking situation for a rookie, but he says, he has already been through it today. Yuki was in the final group today and he made terrible mistake of hitting too fat with his utility club on 4th.
"I told myself not to be nervous and play as I always do, but you just can't shake that nervousness. After that mistake I was kind of relieved and able to play more than I expected."

Yuki recalls, that out of 5 birdies he made today, the best and perfect shots were on par 3s.
"You must go for it, right?"
Par 3s on 13th and 16th both has hole-in-one money prizes, and Yuki darted really close to the pin for tap-in birdies.

"Now I am borrowing my father's car, since I don't have my own."
So, he is eager to get his hands on the BMW X7 xDrive40d M Sport, the prize for hole-in-one at 13th on Final Sunday. Also, the prize for the winner includes BMW X5 xDrive35d M Sport.
"So, if everything goes as I wish, I will have 2 cars", grinned Yuki.

His parents decided to come to the course today to cheer. They caught up with him at 10th hole.
"I was happy to see them. They gave me confidence and power."

Yuki is same age as Takumi Kanaya with 2 victories this season and Naoyuki Kataoka who has achieved his V1 already. But Yuki has only made cut twice on 5 tournaments he entered after turning Pro last September.
"I did get anxious and felt left out. But I learned to believe in myself, and I am not surprised that I am good enough to be in the final group on Final Round. I played well today in the final group, and it definitely gave me confidence. I was able to play under par on my back nine, so I am satisfied."

If Yuki wins a Major on his 5th tournament challenge, it will tie to the record for "Fastest Japan Golf Tour Championship Victory" made by Yoshinori Fujimoto in 2012. This will be more than enough to catch up with his same age rivals.
