Japan Golf Tour Championship Mori Building Cup Shishido Hills 2021

First time ever Amateurs has been given exemption to the Japan Golf Tour Championship

Japan Golf Tour Championship Mori Building Cup Shishido Hills has been the Major tournament to crown the best player on the Japan Tour since 2000. This year, on the tournament's 21st year, the tournament has renewed the exemption status; 3 top players within 50th position of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) who must be Japanese national, and also willing to participate on the tournament, are exempted.

This change is targeted to provide JGTO planned world class tournament setting experience to the top amateurs, who will surely become the future star players.

According to the renewed exemption, 3 top from the recent April 12th World Amateur Golf Ranking were elected.WAGR 6th Ren Yonezawa (Tohoku Fukushi University), WAGR 11th, Keita Nakajima (Nippon Taiiku Unicersity), and WAGR 32nd Taiga Sugihara (Tohoku Fukushi University) received the exemption.

These 3 players have been already making great results on the professional tournaments this year. Please enjoy the excitement created by new and also familiar faces on the Tour.
