Yuta Uketake's next challenge is to grab the ticket to prestigious JT Cup next week

This week is not all about Order of Merit race and battle for capturing Tour Card. For 5th year professional Yuta Uketake, who already has safely secured his Tour Card for next year by earnings, his next goal is to attain the ticket to prestigious JT Cup next week.

Gusty wind blew hard today and made many of the players to struggle.

"I was talking with my caddy that we should stick to the strategy to avoid bogeys."

This smart management worked and he played with 5 birdies and 1 bogey to score 67. Jumped up to 4T, 4 shots behind the leader.

Yuta succeeded in making 4 top 10 finishes this season and his current Money Rankings is at 41st. His next goal is to be part of JT Cup, which is only allowed to only 30 players who are this season's winners and top Money Ranking players.

"In order to make my way into the JT Cup is to finish at least 5th or better this week. It is a tough task, but I really want to play at JT Cup."

Yuta was solo leader with 5 shot margin in October's ISPS HANDA Gutsun to tobase Tournament but lost. He was told by Hideto Tanihara who was in the same group as Yuta was to pay more attention to other players as well.

Hideto Tanihara is same Tohoku Fukushi University graduate but, 14 years elder.

"It was wonderful that Hideto took time to talk to me. It is impossible to it other way around, I could never go up and ask him for advice. He is really great, and I am thankful that he cares for me. I do tend to get too focused. Thanks to Hideto's advice I am telling myself to control ups and downs on my feelings during the round. I hope I could control my mind and play well until the end tomorrow."
