Y.E. Yang saying goodbye to Japan Tour and will move on to US Champions Tour from next season

PGA Championship winner, Y.E. Yang made great start on 1R of Casio World Open with bogey free 65.

"My putting was great today."

As he said, after he made 10-meter on 1st hole, he seemed to be unstoppable and kept on making 5 to 7-meter putts. He closed the day with making hi 7th birdie on 18th.

 

"I was able to play great today."

49 years old legend played magnificently and finished as solo 2nd.

 

Y.E. has been playing on Japan Tour since 2002. He has 5 victories on Japan Tour, and the lasted was at Chunichi Crowns in 2018. But this week's tournament will be his last on the Japan Tour.

 

After turning 50 years old on January 15th next year, he will move on to US Champions Tour. He is eligible for the Champions Tour with his great win at 2009 PGA Championship where he beat Tiger Woods.

"I am very excited and looking forward to it."

 

So, we asked, "What if you win this week and accomplish your V6?"

His answer was clear.

"No, no, I have decided to move on to US Champions Tour and I won't change my mind."

 

No wonder he was in such a happy move even though he was ranking 108th on the Money List.
