Yuta Kinoshita clings on to the chance to keeping his Tour Seed by jumping up to 4T

15th year professional Yuta Kinoshita is on the bubble, and he is on the pursuit to cling on to the chance to keep his Tour Seed.

"On the Par 5 18th, I blasted my 1W as hard as I could."

He had 167 yards left from lefts-side roughs, but his 2nd shot carried to the collar of the green. His great short game got him 1-meter for 1 putt to make birdie finish. After the round he realized that he was 4T, 3 shots behind the leader going into FR.

"It has been a while since I was able to play this well."

In 2018 at Mynavi ABC Championship, he won the playoff with Masahiro Kawamura by making dramatic eagle and won his 1st victory and claimed his 1st Tour Seed. But now, he is 63rd on the Money List and must do something big to earn his Seed for next season.

"I have been too anxious about attaining the Seed and my golf has been distracted. I told myself this week that if I can't make it, then I will try for QT. This decision gave me relief and my golf has gotten better. I know this is really tough course, so I didn't aim aggressively for birdies, but focused on saving pars, but I ended up making great score of 66with 7 birdies and 1 bogey."

Now he has the chance to accomplish his 2nd victory, and if that is done there will be no worries for that Seed.

"I know I shouldn't get too anxious because that will place pressure on me. So, I will try to put aside my anxiety and try my best to finish at least within Top 10."
