Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters 2021

Jinichiro Kozuma aims to defend his Champion title and also on pursuit for Money Race

SMBC VISA Taiheyo Masters will be held for the second time within 2020-21 prolonged season. Last year, the tournament sponsors were kind to hold the tournament for the players despite of pandemic circumstances, but it was without spectators. Unfortunately, exciting game and dramatic eagle ending victory by 8th year professional Jinichiro Kozuma couldn't be witnessed by the fans live.

But this year, the tournament will be welcoming the spectators, and Jinichiro is eager to defend his Champion title in front of the fans. He has been finishing as runner-up for 3 times this season, and he is craving to accomplish his 2nd career victory.

Jinichiro will be in same groupings for the first 2 rounds with current 3rd Money Ranker Rikuya Hoshino, and Tomoyasu Sugiyama, who just won his first Tour victory at Bridgestone Open in October.

Order of Merit race is also heated up.

Current No.1 Money Ranker Ryosuke Kinishita's advantage against No.2 Chan Kim is only within 6 million yen. Ryosuke Kinoshita will be in same groupings for the first 2 rounds with Shaun Norris and No.5 Money Ranker Takumi Kanaya. Chan Kim will be with Yusaku Miyazato and Satoshi Kodaira.

Maximum limit of 5000 spectators is allowed each day. There will be charity auctions and local delicacies will be provided to the guests coming to the course.
