Bridgestone Open Golf Tournament 2021

Ryo Ishikawa finishes at 28T with 6 under total, flies to US for Korn Ferry Tour QT next week

Ryo Ishikawa's 2nd shot on Par 5 9th, his final hole of the tournament, went to the back fringe of the green. He made a great approach and finished his game with birdie. He had 4 birdies and a bogey to score 68 on his Final Round at Bridgestone Open to finish as 28T.

He said he was felling as his body was under more gravity on R3, but with making stretching exercises during his Final Round, he said, "it has gotten better, and I was able to play with no problem" and smiled.

"As for my continuous pursuit for improving his swing style, I am still developing. But for these 4 rounds, I have gained new trajectory which I wasn't able to last week. I can feel that I am achieving new technics a bit by bit."

Ryo will be flying to US to challenge for US PGA cub-tour, Korn Ferry Tour QT.
"I have no idea what the outcome may be. I just made an entry to the QT. If I fail, I will be back to Japan in no time. But I want to challenge with all the effort that I have now."

If Ryo could stay alive until the QT Finals, it will become a long trip.
"There are so many big purse tournaments while I am away, so I really thought well about this. Even I succeed, I would be able to come back for few of the season finale games."

Latest schedule for Ryo to be back will be end of November. He will have his coach, who has been supporting him since last year to join as caddy on the battle at QT.
"It is not yet the timing to make my swing concrete. I am looking towards my future golf life, so I want to become better and stronger player in coming years. So, I must do whatever necessary to improve. I hope coach and I could comeback with many great experiences."
