Bridgestone Open Golf Tournament 2021

Shota Matsumoto is blessed by getting one on one lesson from Ryo Ishikawa at practice round

Ryo Ishikawa was unstoppable. He was giving away all of his knowledge and technics to 5th year professional Shota Matsumoto, through 18 holes of practice round on Wednesday. Ryo's energetic coaching didn't stop, and it still went on after the round.

All thanks to Ryo's caddy Sato, who lives 14 minutes' drive back home in Miyagi Prefecture and also senior grader of same Tohoku Fukushi University, gave Shota the chance to play along with Ryo during the practice round.
"I am grateful and learned so much today. I don't know how I should describe, but I think I was taught the Ryo's golf logics. He was so kind to share his golf style with me. I am so glad that I was able to have this experience here at Bridgestone Open."

Shota has been Bridgestone gear user since he was 13 years old. When he turned professional in 2016, he made contract with Bridgestone, and he is making his first appearance to this tournament, thanks to sponsor's invitation.
"In order to show my gratitude, I must play my best. I am blessed to have the Ryoism taught to me right before the tournament."

Ryo will be going abroad to challenge US PGA cub-tour Korn Ferry Tour's QT 2 weeks from now. He will fly to Us right after this tournament.
"I am so honored to have this chance to play with him before he left for US. Reranking will be soon, so I want to take all the tips I learned from Ryo into action this week and finish within Top 10, or even Top 5. I wish I could make great result as tournament host professional."
