Tokai Classis has gained new sponsor from this year, Kowa Co. Ltd., and luckily for Rikuya, they have made affiliate sponsorship contract with him and was announces on the day prior to the 1R. But Rikuya shot 2 over for 1R and finished at 73T.
"I am not playing so well lately and, this Miyoshi CC is very tough course. I was also so nervous about being the host professional, and to be honest, my hands were shaking with nervousness for some of the holes."

Rikuya managed to score 69 on 2R, and barely made the cutline.
"I needed to play safe for some hole, but I told myself to be aggressive on the weekends. Thanks to that aggressive mind, my putting got better too."
Rikuta made 3 straight birdies from 16 to finish with style.

Rikuya was overtaken his No.1 spot on the Money Rankings by Chan Kim, but he says, "I will try to win another tournament and would like to show my gratitude to the sponsor with the good result."

On the "Driving Contest" that was held after 3R, Rikuya chose 47-inch 1W, but that strategy failed, and he finished on the bottom of 9 players with 300 yards as his record.
"Next year I will go with my regular 45-inch 1W, and challenge for the win."
