Japan Open Golf Championship 2021

Yuki Inamori failed to defend his title attends ceremony with full of regrets

Defending champion, Yuki Inamori attended the winner's ceremony to present the champion jacket to this year's winner Shaun Norris. Yuki finished at 7T, feeling very regretful as he stood next to the winner.

Yuki was aiming to defend his title and become the 6th player to 3-peat this Major. He was 6 shots behind Shaun at the start, but he stumbled on 3rd with a bogey and made double bogey on 7th to lose his chance to catch up.
"Everything didn't match, my shots and putts. Especially my putting was worse. It was worse in all 4 rounds. I just putting without knowing what to do."

As he stated, he scored 74 to fall out of contention.
"I can't explain well, but my feeling and touches were gone. I am full of regrets. I want to revenge next time."

Yuki's 2 Tour victories are both Japan Open, 2018 and 2020.
Hope he doesn't have to wait until next year's this event for his 3rd victory.
