JAPAN PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP by Sato Shokuhin 2021

Japan Players Championship proudly presents 6 hours each day of full 4 Round live coverage

Ryuko Tokimatsu, Yuta Ikeda, Tatsuya Kodai, and Ryo Ishikawa the executive members of the Players' Committee have led the players on pursuit to make inaugural Japan Players Championship by Sato Shokihin come true and it has successfully started the 1st Round on May 6th.

Yuta Ikeda said, "In 2020, it was suffering year for many including this Tour. I am wishing that this tournament made by us the players will become a good model for the future of our Tour's tournaments. We stumbled over many problems, but was able to accomplish, one of the task was the TV coverage."

Fan Project Leader, Ryo Ishikawa added, "Sports coverage should be live, as it is for baseball and soccer. I believe that golf should be live too. We want to show the excitement on the course live to the fans. So, we insisted to have live coverage this week. It is unfortunate that fans could not come to the course, but we are happy to accomplish having the game broadcast live."

Each day will have 6 hours of TV coverages. On the first 2 rounds, the coverages concentrate on final 18th hole which Ryo says, "It is the most difficult green on the course. In US and Asian Tours, many of the course designed by world class architect has this type of tough finishing hole".

For the first 2 round, every 144 player will have his "showtime" at 18th. Then on the weekends, the broadcast will cover the excitement on the finishing 3 holes, where the game makes dramatic showdowns.

Ryuko Tokimatsu says, "Last year many tournaments were cancelled or postponed, and players had tough time. I am glad that we are able to show our performances to our fans. I hope that many of young players do well and send great excitement to the fans in front of the TV."
