JAPAN PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP by Sato Shokuhin 2021

Hiroshi Iwata challenges to break his jinx and end this week with a smile again

Winner of last week's tournament The Crowns, Hiroshi Iwata received more than 200 congratulating messages.
"In one of them from an acquaintance of acquaintance, a child started to play golf watching me play."

Hiroshi has a dream of owning a golf course in his hometown Sendai City and have children's golf school. This has become his motive after the shocking earthquake hit his hometown.

He looks quite young for a 40 years old, but he says, "I have fatigue, it was hard getting up yesterday".

The setting of the course is more than perfect to crown the first winner of the inaugural players' tournament.
"Water hazard plays very effective and the green undulations as well as grounds surrounding the green is really tough."

Hiroshi failed to make the cut on tournament after his victory both in 2014 and 2015. Hiroshi is the ply player who has the chance to make back-to-back victory, but he was humble to say, "My first goal is to make the cut this week". Hopefully he could break his jinx.
