JAPAN PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP by Sato Shokuhin 2021

Newlywed Yuta Uetake scores 67 to give a big boost for his first victory

Yuta Uektake's score card had so many ups and downs on his front nine as he only had 2 pars, and rest was very colorful with birdies, bogey and even a double bogey.

On 5th hole, his 2nd shot was caught in the water and ended as double bogey, but from next hole he went on to make 3 straight birdies, which were all tap ins.

Then after the turn on 11th, "I just aimed to get it close to the pin, but surprisingly 20-meter eagle putt went in", refrained Yuta with smiles.

He is born and raised at Hokkaido Prefecture. He started to play golf at 4. The after he has joined golf school, he has brushed up his talent and by the time he was in 2nd grade in high school, he won the Hokkaido Junior tournament. He also won Hokkaido Amateur tournament in his college days. Yuta turned Pro in 2017, finished 7th at 2019 QT.

As last season's tournaments were cancelled and postponed, this year will be his first season as a Tour member. And he also got married this year on March 31st with his classmate since elementary school.
"I got married that day because I heard it was good luck date. We can't have wedding ceremony due to the pandemic, but I hope someday we will. I will try to fight strong and earn the pay checks."
Newlywed husband has lots to accomplish, but if he wins this week, that will absolutely be a great start.
