48 years old Katsumasa Miyamoto takes away the spotlight again. Finishes solo leader after 3R

48 years old Katsumasa Miyamoto has become the man of the day again, as he finished his 3R with a style, making a miraculous eagle. He shot his 2nd shot from 168 yards with 7I, it landed on the front of the green and it got on the downhill slope and eventually sat at the bottom of the cup. This eagle gave him 2 shots lead going onto the final Sunday.

Katsumasa ade gesture of waving to all angles, acting as if he was surrounded by huge crowds.
"This is Katsumasa" said the commentary, he is known to make crowds roar.

Last week he almost won at The Crowns, and he is again making the headline. But he says, today was very tough round compared to the bogey free 64 round he had yesterday.
"It was tough as I expected. When I am in contention, there is always one day I get too conscience about winning and my swing gets stiff. Today was that day."

He did stumble on the way, but "on the finishing 3 holes, I got my good images back", as he birdied 16th.
"I was barely getting through today, and I know tomorrow will be birdie rushes everywhere so I hope I could make big score tomorrow. But I was so surprised about my eagle finish today."

At one point today, Kastumasa was tied at the top with Ryo Ishikawa and Takumi Kanaya.
"I was so happy to see myself listed among them. A 48 years old like me among the young stars. There are so many young and talented players out here now. I could be their father's age. But I am really excited to be battling head-to-head with those young guys. This is the greatness about golf."

"I hope I could keep this score advantage until the end. By the way, how is JLPGA doing?"
He envies the popularity that JLPGA has. He will continue to check on how the ladies are doing, but he will surely make great performance himself on the Sunday back nine.
