As for the Japanese players, Ryosuke Kinoshita became the top among of them at 6T with total 11 under, but that status wasn't the only prize he received. This tournament offers exemptions for this year's British Open which will be held from July 16 to 19 at Royal St. Georges. Top 4 players out of 12T finishes, excluding who have already been exempted will be given the rights.

So, excluding the players who already has the rights, such as Matt Kuchar, Justin Rose, Jazz Janewattananond, 4th finish Joo-Hyung Kim, 5th finish Richard T Lee, 6T finish Poom Saksansin and Ryosuke Kinoshita received the rights.

This is Ryosuke Kinoshita's first ever ticket to the Majors. He is 28 years old, in the same age group as Hideki Matsuyama and Ryo Ishikawa but was left behind. Now all of his hard training and practice is paying back.
"I really wanted to challenge the Majors in my 20s. So, I could say one of my dream has come true. Also, the first day of the British Open, July 16th is my birthday, so this will be a great present for me."
