Ryuko Tokimatsu, who became the new Player's Chairman following his successor Ryo Ishikawa in January 2020, was online press conference to send gratitude.
"I would really like to send my greatest appreciation to all who made it possible to have the tournament again. On behalf of all of the players, and staffs working at the tournament, we thank Fujisankei Group for providing us the chance to have the tournament again after 8 months of close down."

31 foreign players who has earned their season seed were not able to make it to Fujisankei Classic.
"Re-entry restrictions are still very strict and could not get all of the members back in the Tour. I am sorry for all of those players not being able to participate in the Tournament, but we could not let Fujisankei Groups offer down. I hope my fellow players will understand."

Ryoko has been in making contacts with Foreign Players Board Director online, and US player Seungsu Han has replied by saying "We are all happy with the re-start of the Tour in Japan." Ryuko was overwhelmed by this warm support and understanding

Last week, Ryuko has won as the host professional at the non-tour event Ashiya Group Chairty Tournament.
"I think my golf is good enough, but FUjizakura is a very tough course. Total distance is over 7500 yards, and it is not called Monster for no reason. This course will not give away any easy birdies, so I must manage to score not over Par, and if there is any chance hole make those birdie putts. I have worked on that strategy for the 9 starting holes on my practice round today."

At Fujisankei Classic, every players and caddies, and every personnel working in at the site has gone through the PCR tests. Locker rooms are closed, and the club house usage is only limited to usage of toilets. Tournament will be held without any spectators.
"It is sad not having any crowds cheering when a great performance is shown, but I hope the fans will enjoy the play broadcast in TV. Please enjoy the great game performed by the best Tour players, their ball strike controls and backspins on the green. We will try to deliver the excitement through the TV screen."
