Fujisankei Classic 2020

Ryuko Tokimatsu couldn't make the "Player's Chairman Victory" but was grateful enough

Ryuko Tokimatsu, the newly appointed Player's Chairman did have the chance to come through with the toughest challenge of "winning as the Chairaman" until his back nine of the Final Round.

"I do regret few of my misses. My goal for today it to finish with total of 10 under, if I could have done it, I had won. So, I am regretful but that's that."

Ryuko started out 1 shot behind the leader, made a great competitive performance but had to settle for solo 3rd with 1 shot deficit that he could not mend and left himself out from joining the playoff.

"But in spite of my results, I am so grateful. I am overwhelmed to see the tournament really happening and players played so energetically with big smiles on their faces. I was also honored to have done the pledge at the Opening Ceremony. I am glad that the tournament was a success and I was a part of making it exciting. Even this had to be non-spectator event, and the organizers had to work so hard on COVID-19 infection preventions, but I am very grateful that we were able to finish the tournament with no problems. Thank you so much to all."

As for this season, remaining schedule tournaments are few, but Ryuko will have all the players as one team and make the best of what they have.
"We want to make fans to feel that men's professional golf is doing great too. So, we will do whatever we could to make fans enjoy. I hope the fans will keep on supporting out Tour."
