JGTO and Player’s Committee arranged ANA Chartered flight to Miyazaki

Total of 200 passengers including 73 players, 49 caddies and other staff got on the ANA chartered flight arranged by JGTO and Player's Committee arrived safely at 13:40 at Miyazaki Airport on November 16th.

Since the Taiheiyo Masters and Dunlop Phoenix will be 2 weeks in a row, this special procedures were taken due to COVID-19 prevention. ANA has supported to make this special chartered flight possible and everyone on board went through PCR tests.

ANA has provided warm and safe hospitalities and players were able to enjoy the relaxing moments in the sky. At Haneda, they were able to use the No.3 Terminal, which is only used when there is a transit from International flight to Domestic, but it was opened just for them. Ticketing was also done separately in 3 groups for precaution: Group 1 for players and JGTO staffs, Group 2 for caddies, and Group 3 for media.

After the ticketing and baggage service, they all boarded on a shuttle bus to the gates. Every procedures were perfectly to avoid contamination.

On board, every player received handwritten cards from cabin attendants wishing them the best of luck on the tournament. Hideto Taniguchi, who has turned 42 on this flight date was also given a birthday card.
"I am not so happy about my age, but to be celebrated on a chartered flight was first time and it felt so special."

Yuta Ikeda, Vice Chairman for the Players Committee came to the airport 3 hours before hand and was running around everywhere to check that things were working out correctly. He also arranged to have a photo session with the some of the players and ANA staffs as gesture of appreciation. He also stayed behind at the baggage claim to see if no one has forgotten their belongings.

"I was glad that the chartered flight was possible. I am grateful for every staff who made it possible", smiled Yuta and he headed off to the course.
