Dunlop Phoenix Tournament 2020

Hiroshi Iwata starts off as solo 2nd at Dunlop Phoenix Round 1

Known to be quiet and shy, even Hiroshi Iwata feels lonely as there are no fans at the course.
"I know that I don't have a big crowd following me, but when there is no one, no familiar faces, it is pretty lonely" said Hiroshi.

"It felt too quiet and it feels awkward, so sometimes I notice that I am not focused properly since it doesn't feel like a tournament without spectators. But I am getting used to this atmosphere."

As he said, his results are getting better too with 7T finish at last week's SNBC VISA Taiheiyo Masters. And it has gotten better today with 6 birdies and a bogey on his 1st Round at Dunlop Phoenix, finishing as satisfying solo 2nd.

"My driving is not too good and so is my putting, so I will adjust it and try to do well tomorrow too."

Too bad that his fans cannot see him at the course, but Hiroshi's fans please check him out on Dunlop Phoenix in ZOOM.
