Kansai Open Golf Championship 2019

Hyun-Woo Ryu starts off with bogey free 6 under par on Day 1

37 years old Hyun-Woo Ryu made a great start as one among the leader with bogey free 6 under par. The course is known for tough undulated greens, but he made it look easy.
"I am pretty happy with the score in tough course like this", Hyun-Woo recalled.

Hyun-Woo has joined the Japan Tour since 2012 and has won at the Coca Cola Tokai Classic which had no spectators due to the typhoon, by beating Shingo Katayama at the playoff.

His second win was also by playoff at the Fuji Sankei Classic, by beating against Satoshi Kodaira and others.

This week he has done a great start for the 3rd win he really looks forward to.
"My game is in good condition, but with so many up and down hills, this is course is tougher on the back nine. So, I am a bit unsecured, but I will do my best tomorrow", Hyun-Woo smiled.
