Golf Nippon Series JT Cup 2019

Order of Merit Race will come to the finale showdown tomorrow

The fierce battle for the Order of Merit Race will come to an end tomorrow, if current No.2 Shaun Norris wins, he will overtake the Order of Merit Champion from current No.1 Shugo Imahira, if not, no matter how he does, Shugo will be defending his prestigious Champion Title.

For Shaun, "Winning is the MUST". He finished his Round 3 1 shot behind the co-leaders, still in great position to grab the victory. It was literary freezing day at Tokyo Yomiuri CC, the temperature at noon was 5.6 degrees Celsius. Shaun is known to be tough on cold weather, but today was too cold.
"It was very harsh conditions today."

He has trouble hole at Par 4 5th, where he got caught in the left side trees, had to walk on the roughs for few times to end up with a double bogey. But he was able to maintain from falling apart by holing more than 4-meter par saving putt on 9th. He got back to Even Par play for the day with the birdie at 17th, ended the day with total 5 under.
"I will keep my best round for tomorrow."

His young brother and caddy have received the MIP Caddy Award, which is given to most impressive caddy of the season.
"I will enjoy playing with my brother and we will win at the end."

Current No.1 Shugo hasn't given up at all either.
"When you get to the downhill putt, I end up going way over and end up making 3 putts."
He had a tough day today, missing the putt by just a few centimeters. He missed the 1.5-meter par putt on the final 18th, which was his 3rd 3 putt bogeys for the day. But with all of this hardship, he managed to hang on at 1 shot behind Shaun.

He dislikes wearing too much when he swings, so he was considering cutting the sleeves off the Heattech and wearing it double under his shirt.
"I did cut off the sleeves and tried it, but still it interfered with my swing, so I didn't wear them today. I was constantly taking my dawn jacket and mittens off as I made my swing."

If Shaun wins, Shugo's defending of Order of Merit Champion title is gone.
"Shaun is in good position, but my shots are good too. If I could win at the end, the Order of Merit title will just follow, so I will do my best."
