Casio World Open Golf Tournament 2019

Mikumu, Ryo and Yosuke in same group all bogey free at Casio's Round 1

Mikumu Horikawa noticed that all 3 members of his group were playing without making bogeys, but as he mentioned that he had to face a tough par saving putt. He safely made it and all 3 players in the group, Mikumu Horikawa, Ryo Ishikawa and Yosuke Asaji finished with bogey free round.
"It is very rare that all 3 players finish without making any bogeys", said Mikumu, who finished with 67 and sits at 2T after Round 1.

Mikumu has bad memories about this Casio World Open, since he missed the cut here 3 years ago and costed him to lose his seed and had to go through the QT.
"Back then, I went through really tough times. But today I am in totally opposite great position."

Mikumu won JGTC in June to gain 5 years seed. He is at 6th on the Money Rankings, still has a slight possibility for the Order of Merit chance, same as Ryo Ishikawa in the same group. If he could win the last 2 tournaments, it is possible.
"If I could play like I did today for rest of the tournament, I could grab this week's victory. Then follow that win with another, who knows?"

Mikumu is on the mission to do make what seems impossible become possible.
