Casio World Open Golf Tournament 2019

The judgement day came for the "players on the bubble" who missed the cutline at Casio

For the players who are on the bubble for the next season's Tour Card, today was the judgement day. Casio World Open is the last event on the Tour schedule, and for whom missed the cutline and couldn't maintain the Card for the next season had to make entry for the QT Finals applications before they left the course.

50 years old Taichi Teshima didn't chose to get that entry sheets for the QT Finals. He had the Tour Card for 22 consecutive years but couldn't hold on to it last season. He used up his 5 years exemption from the victory at 2014 Japan PGA, and he ended his season with 81st on the Money List.

"I had tough time making the cutline this season, and even I did make the cut I couldn't get myself in contention."
He made appearance in 20 tournaments and made the cut in 11 of them, but his highest finish was at 27th in Asia Pacific Diamond Cup.

"I won't challenge the QT Finals at my age."
But he will challenge the Regular Tour again next season by using his privilege of "being within 25th of the Total Career Prize Money" rights.

Other than Taichi Teshima, Shih-Chang Chan (77th), Rattanon Wannasrichan (95th), Toru Taniguchi (99th), David Oh (105th), and also Prayad Marksaeng (70T) who withdrew at R1 couldn't hold on to the Tour Card.
