Dunlop Phoenix Tournament 2019

Hideki Matsuyama feeling uneasy finishing 5 shots behind the leader Shugo after Round 3

The Host Pro Hideki Matsuyama, a past winner of this tournament back in 2014, finished Round 3 with 6 birdies and 2 bogeys to score 67, but he is feeling about the result.

Hideki stumbled on his 1st hole yesterday to score "9" on a Par 4. He tried to gain back that deficit today, but it has widened.

After making the turn with 2 under for today, he reached the green on 332 yards Par 4 13th but failed to make the 8-meter eagle putt and had to settle for a birdie. He also had another eagle chance on Par 5 18th but couldn't make it again.

"Final hole wasn't the only chances that I couldn't make it today. I don't know if it was my misjudgment or my putting miss. From the forecast for tomorrow, it will be rough day, so I really wanted to make a big score today."

Shugo Imahira is leader with 10 under total, and Hideki is 5 shots behind.
"If I could make my putts go in tomorrow, I might still have a chance."

Hideki is one of the top Srixon sponsored professional. He hasn't given up catching current No.1 Money Ranker and scooping away the victory tomorrow.
