Ryo Ishikawa "a player with many tasks" aims for his WIN No.15

It has been 10 years since Ryo Ishikawa made his first victory as a Pro at this Tournament.
Now, Ryo is Player's Chairman, running around the venue with so many jobs other than practicing.
"I never dreamed of becoming Player's Chairman, not 10 years but not even a year ago."

After the Pro-am rounds, he ran to do an interview for TV, where he also worked as a promotion spokesman. The Tournament original Pin Flags, which Ryo was the mastermind behind the sales, are sold at merchandise tent in front of the clubhouse and gallery plaza information booths.
"Please get many autographs from the players and bring it home as tournament souvenir."

Ryo is also the Host Pro for this week's "Mynavi ABC Championship". He became the image character for the Tournament sponsor "Mynavi" in 2008, a year after the dramatic victory at this tournament.

On Wednesday, Ryo went on the Pro-am round with the President of Mynavi, Mr. Nakagawa.
"President Nakagawa really likes golf. We talked mostly about golf. It was a fun round. "

Ryo acted as perfect Host, and he was also keen to take a good look at the course conditions.
"This year, Kansai area faced so many natural disasters, like hurricane and floods. But the course is under very good condition nevertheless of those disasters. Greens are spin and span. It depends on the weather, but it could be viciously fast!"

Ryo literary made a "splash" from the 18th lake and shot his short game to 3 meters to the pin, ended up to grab his dramatic victory 10 years ago.
"I cannot recall how I hit the ball, but I remember how I made the image. I was not afraid to end up in the water, so I didn't lay-up and went for the green."

After Ryo came back from the PGA Tour last year, he faced slump, he failed make the cut at this tournament which was 3 weeks in the row. But Ryo managed to get his game back together. He finished within the Top 10 for the fourth time this season last week.

"Tournament venue changes every week, but I challenge is same. I will practice day by day and brush up my skills."

If Ryo wins, he will mark his Victory No.15 at the youngest record. Host Pro, Chairman, PR Spokesman, etc. will charge for that most wanted Victory No.15 this week at ABC CC.
