JGTO stalwarts, including money ranking winner Kaneko, honoured at 2025 JGTO Awards Ceremony

The curtain came down on what has been a captivating 2025 season on the JGTO with 12 standout performers recognised at the 2025 JGTO Awards Ceremony, held on Monday at the ANA InterContinental Hotel in Tokyo.

Among the biggest winners was newly crowned JGTO Money Ranking champion Kota Kaneko, who headlined the season’s roll of honour recipients.

Kaneko also claimed the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, capping a breakout year in which he secured his maiden victory at the Kansai Open Golf Championship in May before adding a second triumph at the Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters in November.

The 23-year-old, who was unable to attend the ceremony due to his participation in this week’s PGA Tour Qualifying School in the United States, wrapped up his season with total earnings of ¥120,231,009 to secure the highest accolade of the season.

In addition to the Money Ranking and MVP awards, he also topped five other statistical categories, including Par or Better and the Golf Media Award.

“I'm happy that I finally achieved my first victory this year. I'm also honoured to have earned my second win. From next year onwards, I want to work hard so I can perform well overseas too,” said Kaneko.
