Inaugural Richard Mille Charity Tournament Tees Off on JGTO

The inaugural Richard Mille Charity Tournament is set to debut on the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO) this Thursday, with a full field of 144 players competing for top honours at Noto Country Club.

Launched with dual aims of supporting recovery efforts from the Noto Peninsula earthquake and nurturing junior golf development in Japan, the tournament will offer a total prize fund of ¥100,000,000. Notable participants include Japanese star Ryo Ishikawa.

In line with its philanthropic mission, Richard Mille and the JGTO have planned a range of charitable initiatives throughout the tournament. These include support for disaster-stricken areas affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake and recent heavy rains, as well as youth golf programs.

Proceeds and donations collected during the week will be channelled through the Richard Mille Japan Foundation and contributed to Ishikawa Prefecture to support ongoing recovery and revitalisation efforts.

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Ishikawa said:”Many players have a strong personal commitment to support in various ways. But hosting an actual tour event takes an incredible amount of effort.

This tournament will give players the opportunity to share the seriousness and passion of the sport directly with the audience.“

Ends.
