Even with 2 miraculous "chip-ins" Micah Lauren Shin was left behind

Micah Lauren Shin from US started 1 shot behind the leader Yosuke Asaji and played in the same final group. Micah started off great with a chip-in birdie but failed to make his charge after he stumbled with a bogey at 7th. From there he has made 3 more bogeys, but incredible chip-in eagle at the 14th gave him a chance for bounce back.

"My plan for today was to keep it on the fairways."
But he couldn't keep up to that plan and missed his tee shot on the 15th to left, which lead to regretful bogey and he was 1 shot short for the come from behind win.

"It is really regretful."

Micah was very close to catching his 2nd victory since 2017 Manila Masters but couldn't make it happen.
"I like Japan, so if I could get other chances, I would certainly want to challenge other tournaments."

22 years old young gun promises to come back and grab the winning title in Japan.
