Token Homemate Cup 2019

Changed his nationality due to World Cup?! Newly Greek Peter Karmis debuts on Japan Tour

37 years old rookie, Peter Karmis debuted on Japan Tour. He seemed to have a tough time adjusting to the fast green on Japan Tour.
"In my hometown Capetown, the greens are 10 feet max on stimpmeter."
When Peter found out that today's green was 13 feet on stimpmeter, he was surprised and call out "Japanese must really like fast greens!"
But with the fast and slick greens, Peter managed to mark bogey free 66 on the Day 1.

Big names like Charl Schwartzel, and Trevor Immelman, also Shaun Norris on the Japan Tour are all from South Africa, and so is Peter. But he changed his nationality to Greece, which his father fad the citizenship, due to become the representative for the World Cup Golf.

Peter teamed up with the fellow Greek player who was somewhere on 2000th at the World Golf Ranking, "I did pretty well, but...", the team effort didn't come out as Peter planned. But he was able to achieve one of his dream.

Then he went on to challenge the Japan Tour's QT finals, finished 7th and gained his tour card.
Peter won 5 times already on Sunshine Tour in South Africa and on Asian Tours, but he is eager to "take advantage in the season opposite Japan Tour too". Peter seeks to plat more than 30 tournaments in total, adding all of the tours around the world.

He also seeks for the Olympics in Tokyo. With the tour card and Peter being the Number 1 player representing Greece, he really looks forward for the year 2020.
