Same age buddies with Hideki, Ryo and Ryosuke, Yujiro Oohori makes a comeback from his surgery

Yujiro Oohori, who earned his chance to enter this week's Major my passing the Monday Tournament at 5th. Yujiro is on his 8th year as professional and is making his way into the weekends first time in 10 tournaments he challenged.

Yujiro says, he was getting a good feeling from his back nine on the 1st Round.
"My shots were really great yesterday, so I had confidence on my game today."

As he said, he made 8 birdies and a bogey to score 64 and jumped safely into 7T from 71T.
"I don't have Tour Card, so I felt that I have nothing to lose. I should just do my best."

Yujiro first achieved his Tour Card back in 2016, but during his training in off season of 2019, his injured right leg got worse. At the same time, he suffered 1W driving yips.
"It was same as Jordan Spieth's injury. On the place I injured there were many bone chips and I had to get a surgery."

He went on the surgery on Christmas last year.
"At first, I didn't think this injury on my leg won't be much of a problem. I participated in Toru Taniguchi's training camp but had to leave during the camp since it was hurting too much. Toru was so sincere and cheered me up. He told me to get it fixed then must practice well to make a comeback."

Yujiro was able to swing his clubs by March of this year. He went overseas to join Satoshi Kodaira's camp.
"It was really tough training days. I was able to caddy for him at Honda Classic. I watched top players perform with such a stable mind set, and I really learned how to control my mentality during the tournament from that experience."

Yujiro was making noise as an amateur when he played on the professional tournaments in his university days. He turned Pro in 2013, with many expectations on his shoulders. His same age buddy, Ryosuke Kinoshita has won 2 tournaments in a row, and many including Satoshi Kodaira are telling Yujiro that "if Ryosuke could do it, you should be to".

"I was not good handling pressure, but after that experience with injury, my heart got strong. I am not afraid to be aggressive, so I will go for every chance I get tomorrow too."
