Japan PGA Championship 2021

"I will not hesitate this time" Yuki Inamori is set to battle for another Japan title on his resume

"Mr. finding fairways all the time" for 6 straight years, Yuki Inamori loves a title with Japan on it. Last October he has won his 2nd Japan Open, making both of his 2 career victories as Major.
"Now I came to get my Japan PGA Championship title."

As he predicted, he is in great position at solo 2nd, 1 shot behind the leader going into Final Sunday.

Yuki was saying after his R2, "If I could reach up to 10 under total tomorrow, I'd say it would be a checkmate position".
Well, he has done better with 6 birdies and a bogey to total up to 11 under. Gave him a big chance for that victory he has targeted.

Not only these titles with "Japan" motivates him, but this Japan PGA Championship also brings back good memories for him.
"My Tour debut was at Japan PGA Championship, so this is one of the tournament I really want to win."

Back in 2012, the venue was at Karasumajo CC in Tochigi Prefecture. Yuki passed the PGA pro test a year before and received the ticket to the Major by winning in the Rookie Tournament. On that PGA Championship in 2012, Yuki was grouped up with 2 of the former champions,Yuta Ikeda (2009) and Hiroo Kawai (2013).

"That grouping was really hot. It was so exciting day, and it is the tournament I would never forget."
Yuki was just 18 years old, and he was quite lost and couldn't do much. Couldn't make the cut and went home. Now 9 years has passed. This time he will be battling head-to-head with Yuta Ikeda in final group.
"Come to think of it, this is pretty impressive. But I will not hesitate this time and play my golf all the way through."

Yuki has kept the No.1 record on Driving Accuracy since 2015.
"I won't bend my shots, and not my strong will for the victory either."
