Thank you fans
Japan Golf Tour Championship Mori Building Cup Shishido Hills hosted by Japan Golf Tour Organization was a success with having the spectators on the course for the first time this season.

On final Sunday, maximum 1000 spectators, including the sponsor guests have arrived at the site and enjoyed the excitement.

Ryo Ishikawa the co-chairman of the Players Committee and the Fan Project Leader sent his deepest gratitude.
"It was raining bad weather today and also on Friday, but we are so grateful and surprised to see that so many came to see the action. Players really enjoyed the fan's company. Thank you for cheering for us. As a professional golfer, it felt really rewarding. Thanks to the cheers, I was able to play bogey free round of 67 today. This performance gave me confidence toward the US Open in 2 weeks."

Also, Ryuko Tokimatsu said, "I wanted to perform my best in front of the fans".
That encouragement enabled Ryuko to make great 2nd shot with 6I at 18th from 190 yards for a birdie finish, and score 67 on the Final Round.

Unfortunately, due to infection control, holes from 4 to 11 was not allowed for the spectators to enter.
"We really hope that everything will get back to normal and have every hole available to enjoy. This week number of volunteers was increased, and they all helped and supported us from dawn. We also send our appreciation to the hosting course, Shishido Hills for letting us have this wonderful tournament."

Spectators had to wear masks, receive antibody test on COVID-19, keep safe social distance among the spectators and to the players as well, and must not speak loudly to the players or ask for autographs. But as all the golf lovers are, everyone kept their elite manners and the tournament ended with success. Shishido Hills manager, Mr.Kusano said, he was emotionally moved to see so many of the families and friends of player gathered this week.
"It must be very fortunate and special for the families to see their loved one's play. The warm applause spoke more than the cheering out loud. I have recognized the great value of having the tournament itself, and also the greatness of having fans at the course. I hope many tournament will follow after us and have the tournaments with spectators."
